Dave spent his early life on a small farm in Gore and his teens and early twenties in Ashburton. Moving his way up the country to New Plymouth, Dave met his wife, Philippa, and life brought them back down to Richmond, Philippa’s home town. Dave and Philippa purchased The CopyPress in 2003, having been very impressed with the vision of the previous owner, and Dave was able to transfer skills from his years in the communication and process industries to the printing and publishing environment. Dave is passionate about helping everyday people fulfill the dream of seeing their stories in print. He is also extremely proud of our role in the Nelson community and the quality printing service we provide to its businesses and individuals. He says seeing the pleasure on our clients’ faces when they see what we produce is one of his greatest rewards. Outside work, Dave loves to cycle, something he has enjoyed most of his life. He says cycling is much like life, sometimes the ride is easy, sometimes it’s a struggle, but it is always an adventure.
