A second collection of poems from 2019 and 2020.
These eventful years have produced many moments of inspiration to write about. The COVID-19 pandemic has managed to expose human frailty on all levels of society, across nations, from the individual to groups, to politics, to religions, to numerous conspiracy theories abounding, as humanity’s belief systems and management systems are really questioned. While there have been moments of positive reaction, this pandemic has also exposed human stupidity, selfishness and greed. Human fear of losing control of life, of losing something called freedom and of death itself has been highlighted. Nature, not human nature, has once again stepped in to remind humanity of its fragility when it steps away from the natural order of things. And it’s an election year! Richard P Wisnesky
