Flying Free

When I read other peoples’ stories I ask the same questions. I guess I’m a curious reader, and maybe you are too. I’m particularly curious about the writer. “Are they in the story?” I wonder. “Where did they get their ideas from? How much of the story comes from their imagination and how much of it is true?” Questions like this gave me the idea for this book. Why not publish a collection of my most popular children’s stories and explain where each one came from. This way, instead of the author being just a name on the page, I will become real. As you meet my characters: in school, on a trolley derby track, on the stage, or on a beach rescuing stranded whales – I invite you to be curious too. Ask them where they came from. Ask them why they are here. Then step inside the story and enjoy. Adrienne M Frater
