Pesky Orange Cones
I sometimes wonder who owns
All those pesky orange cones
That mark those dreary 30 km zones
On roads secondary or main
They prompt language profane
And from drivers – frustrated groans
One wonders at the annual cost
Of this nationwide conical host
But there’s no question who pays
For this colour on our highways
