Country Girl In The City: A Love Story

This is a true story. It covers the last two and a half years that the writer lived in her home country, The Netherlands, before emigrating to New Zealand. She records her development from being a school girl to young womanhood. This requires leaving home on a farm in a small village to getting used to life in a city; leaving the safety and comfort of childhood to independence in a strange new environment – that of ‘putting one’s feet under other people’s table’.
