Merv Hansen is an ex-shearer who, due to a momentary lapse of reason during his dotage, decided to write a book starting from scratch. Deploying an ever-increasing number of ballpoint pens, he scratched his way across innumerable sheets of blank paper, all the while under the influence of an endless succession of cheese toasties – possibly accounting for the somewhat bizarre storyline which emerged.
