A financier loses his family and finds his pistol. The daughter of an abusive father runs away to make her way on the streets. A disillusioned cop decides the current system is broken. An Australian farmer looks over the parched land and wonders if his family will endure where previous generations have.
A group of anti-Capitalists meet as the invasion of Iraq begins and plan to establish an Islamic State and ensuring its’ survival by using attack as the best form of defence. Plans evolve as the Islamic Caliphate fails.
Geologically speaking, climate change is NOT a slow moving train wreck. It is also an accelerating effect with a significant lag component. Climate change will not be a photogenic event.
The story uses a combination of factual climate impacts and how they affect food supply, a projection of how society reacts to shortages in the supermarket, and how some evolve and adapt to a rapidly changing world and changing personal circumstances, and some do not.
How do you react when under extreme stress, when the world around is falling apart? Curl up in a ball? Denial or drugs? Or adapt to your circumstances, even if you don’t like them.
