A Biography of Jesus of Nazareth Through the Eyes of Mary MagdaleneThere is no definitive or historical biography of Jesus of Nazareth. There are snippets in the four gospels of the New Testament but there is no flowing narrative. Very little is known about Mary of Magdala. She is mentioned only four times by name in the gospels. Much has been wrongly, in my opinion, attributed to her and there is much confusion surrounding who she actually was and the nature of her standing among the followers of Jesus.This story relies on extracts from the gospels but they have been re-arranged into a form of narrative which might reflect how events turned out. Mary Magdalene probably had a disastrous start in life but was healed and restored to wholeness by Jesus. He recognises in her the makings of a soul mate and helps her achieve enlightenment. After Jesus’ resurrection, she becomes the ‘apostle to the apostles’ by passing on some of the deeply spiritual and philosophical teachings she has learnt at first hand from Jesus.This story is written through the eyes of Mary and shows how the life and ministry of Jesus might have been.
