The Mapua Village Cookbook

Recipes from the friends of Mapua School, Mapua, New Zealand.

Our growing school, with an active programme of sports, social, and cultural activities would greatly benefit from a large indoor space and the need to raise funds for this facility has inspired the publication of The Mapua Village Cookbook. It is envisaged that this multi-purpose facility would also be a major asset for the wider community. The recipes in this book are diverse and treasured and were kindly given to us by people in our school and community. These recipes represent our cultural heritage, family traditions, the experience of travel and memories of times when a particular dish was shared. It was our vision to show-case the wonderful local produce from this region, with a focus on seasonal and fresh food.

The Mapua Village Cookbook would not have been possible without the support of the many local businesses who have shared some fantastic recipes, already enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

A big part of living a good life is the enjoyment of good food. We hope you enjoy this book!
