As a kindergarten Teacher with a passion for Early Childhood literature I rate this book for children , which follows on from
” Georgie is a Farmer” .
As a NZ book, 10 Pesky Piglets brings an aspect of farming knowledge to so many children who do not experience farm life.
The text plays with words and rhymes in an engaging and educational manner, holding children’s interest right to the end of the book .
There are lots of words, action and excellent illustrations that invite further discussion and learning.
I consider it is really important to have this type of book for children that is grounded in real life , appropriate language , fun yet realistic illustrations and with a NZ flavour.
