David Read, born to British parents in Kenya in 1922, spent most of his childhood with the Masai tribe in the famous wilderness area which is known today as the Serengeti. David, speaking the Masai language fluently, is a treasure trove of information about the tribe’s history, legends, ceremonies and lifestyle.

Rain God of the Wambulu is an authentic Mbulu legend, written for children. It tells the story of how the Mbulu tribe in East Africa came to know their Rain God.
