A call in the middle of the night wakes Janet with some bad news. Her best friend has killed herself. Janet looks for answers as she slowly deals with her grief through some journals left behind and discovers her friend has hidden a painful secret.

Her own journey of discovery begins to interfere with her personal life until she almost reaches breaking point. She has help from a man who knew her friend, knew her and cared for her, but never had the chance to tell her. As the pair grow closer, Janet begins to let go, finding hope and love.

This is a story which delves into the consequences of mental illness and suicide. It contains themes of abuse, both physical and emotional, but is ultimately a story of finding the strength to let go. Of hope.
