Izzie’s Surprise

Another delightful story by Ann Neville, illustrated by Catherine Houston who studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design in the 1970s and later trained as a teacher. She taught Art for 17 years.

It had always been a secret ambition of Catherine’s to one day illustrate a children’s book, so she was thrilled when she was given the opportunity to illustrate a story by Ann Neville, a friend and teaching colleague. Catherine modeled ‘Izzie’ on her granddaughter, Hazel, who was a great source of inspiration.
