Harvesting Wild Meats

Stephen Coote has hunted and fished since he was five years old, and for most of his life has had a strong interest in self-sufficiency and primitive technology. He lives on the outskirts of Nelson City in New Zealand with his artist wife Jackie MacDonald and their dog, Lizzy. They eat a lot of wild meat and fish along with the vegetables and fruit produced in their small back yard.

Their main source of income flows from the sale of dichroic glass jewellery which is produced in their home studio under Jackie’s expert direction.
