Counting in Maori to 22

From students and staff at the local schools, to shoppers in the supermarket, to local businesses, he greets everyone with enthusiasm and joy. Henry is a much-loved member of our community and it is a privilege to celebrate his twenty-second year with this book. Happy birthday Henry!

In the Te Whare Ako unit as well as across all areas of Geraldine High School, opportunities are being taken to use Te Reo Māori in the teaching and learning that occurs. Counting to twenty-two using Te Reo has given the Te Whare Ako students in the art-based programme another opportunity to become more familiar with counting in Māori. It is hoped that not only our students, but students in other schools and preschools can use this resource to make counting in Māori easy and fun.
