Collateral Damage

Alice Mary Corrigan, eighteen years old, has been transported by her family to the back blocks of Taranaki in the mid-nineteenth century, from what she saw as the more elegant surroundings of Melbourne Australia.

Feeling keenly the importance of social status, she is sure her family were related to the royal family and she wants to find the link. History is disturbed from her sleep by the strength of Alice’s yearning. But what she proceeds to show her is Australian convicts, slave traders and a murder.
