The year is 2017 and Leah Hart is your typical Kiwi girl who has just finished her final year of high school. During a camping trip with friends, Leah finds herself in a more primitive time in New Zealand history, 1832. Beyond all reasonable judgment, Leah follows her heart as her world collides with a Māori world, the world that Tū knows and loves.
