Bushido’s Bastards

The watershed year was 1942. The ‘yellow peril’ threat that had so long haunted the British colony and settlers of New Zealand was about to become a nightmarish reality. With the catastrophic defeat of the US Carrier Fleet at the Battle of Midway in June, the Japanese navy strikes south.

New Zealand stands naked in the face of this oriental tide. Defeat and slavery looms. Set within this national turmoil, two young Kiwis meet across a dance floor. Their lives and love will become one, with survival the ultimate desire.
