Born of the Spirit

“On two consecutive days, while performing my customary hatha yoga routine, I experienced a sudden shift in consciousness that completely transcended my normal waking state, and on each of those occasions, I had a vision of Jesus.” And so began the author’s search for an explanation of and for his mystical experiences, and how they led to the discovery of the meaning hidden in many of the statements made in the New Testament.
The author was forty-two when he had those experiences, and forty-three years later is sharing his story and supporting observations gleaned from the gospels of Sts. Paul, Matthew, Luke, and John, the writings of spiritual teachers and psychologists, and from the analysis of his dreams.
