Beyond Boots and Bullets

The events of life have been a great ‘school teacher’ to me. I have never been an intellectual type but rather see myself as having been cut from that practical lump of granite called ‘the experiences of life’. Near death situations have taught me the preciousness of life, while helping the needy in other lands have taught me the joy of serving others. A wise man named Jim Elliot once said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
