CP Books Title Shortlisted For The New Zealand Book Awards

We have wonderful news this week! Brin Murray’s debut novel, Children of the Furnace, has been shortlisted for the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.

Brin’s book has been shortlisted for two categories: the Young Adult Fiction Award and the Best First Book Award.

Children of the Furnace is a young adult book set in a dystopian world. The second book, Crosstrees, was published this year, with her third and final book in the trilogy due later in 2019.

We’re very proud to be the publisher of Children of the Furnace and Crosstrees. This is proof that you don’t have to be traditionally published to succeed as an author.

Brin’s accomplishment is wonderful, not only for us but for self-publishing as a whole. We hope her achievement will inspire other indie authors.

Congratulations, Brin! We wish you all the best with the awards.
