Self Publishing - 5 easy steps

1. Prelimenary Information

Often, an author's initial contact with us is to get an indication of the cost involved in producing their book. We are happy to provide this with no obligation. (See our Quote page). Your quote will be provided in two parts:

a) The pre-print costs. This is a one-off cost for formatting your book. This charge will not be repeated with any reprints.
b) The unit price for printing your book. We often advise customers to opt for smaller order quantities as these can still be produced very economically.

2. Data/Manuscript handling

When you are ready to proceed with the printing process, simply send us a copy of your manuscript on CD or disk - preferably saved as a Microsoft Word document. (There are other options - we are happy to discuss your preferred option with you). Photos or other illustrations, graphics, etc., can also be sent on disk (saved as JPG or TIF files). If you prefer, send us good quality originals on paper and we will scan them for you.

3. Proofing (Checking for mistakes or problems)

Within two to three weeks, we will send you a completed proof copy of your work. You will then need to check your work carefully to ensure that you are happy with all aspects of your book and let us know of any changes you would like to make. If necessary, we will send you another amended proof copy for final checking. We work closely with you at this stage to ensure that your book appears exactly as you want it to be.

4. Printing your book

When you are ready to print, just let us know how many copies you wish to start with - we have no minimum requirement. Authors often order a first run of 50 or 100 books to test the market and return to us for reprints as required. Allow up to 3 weeks for an order over 100 books.

5. Payment

We wish you well in the marketing of your book - and look forward to your next order!
We will send your books promptly after printing and binding and include our invoice. Payment is due on the 20th of the following month.
